The world has gone digital. Digital technology has become the spine and the nerve of the modern world. For an instant, if you meet someone on the road, just see what he or she is carry and you will find one or more of a mobile phone, an MP3 player, a laptop, and a digital camera. Although the above electronic devices once considered luxury, now they have become almost essentials for the day-to-day life.
Among many digital devices that are available for day-to-day on-the-go use, digital video s are quite important. Digital video cameras are now available in all the major brands, like Sony, LG, Panasonic, Canon and JVC, and because of the easy availability prices of these digital video cameras are quite reasonable as well. Usually the price of a digital video camera may range from $100 to $200, and it depends on the quality of the video produced and the features offered by the camera. The most basic digital video cameras will have the basic functionality such as a good video resolution and zooming (digital and optical), but may be heavy in weight and may not have higher storage capacity. The cameras at the expensive end will have a great resolution, higher optical zooming factor, light weight, and higher product quality.
Digital video cameras offer many things over the traditional analog video cameras in each and every way. The storing of video image and transferring it to a computer for editing is just a few clicks away. We all know that the process involved in traditional video cameras can be lengthy and complicated with a lot of specific devices. Since digital video editing is done through a computer, there is no quality loss in the end product. The expensive video cameras have a lot of space for storing the videos, and they have the memory installed internally, so there is no need of changing the memory cards like we used to change the cassettes in traditional video cameras
Currently, digital video cameras are available in many forms. Although the digital cameras manufactured recently are designed for photography, there are cameras that are capable of recording videos as well., as today most of the new models of digital cameras that have come out have the option of recording a video as well. There are phones that come with the option in-built as well, and so digital video cameras need not come in the same package for the job to be done.
