Wedding favors are tokens of your appreciation to your guests on your big day. Not only do they tell them that you are happy they decided to witness a milestone of yours but it can also help them remember you too!

So what about western wedding favors? If you’re having a western themed wedding, topping it off with various symbols of the old west works perfectly not only for favors but also for centerpieces!

If country is your theme then how about some old cowboy boots to pose as table centerpieces? You can do one of two things. Find some cheap ones at a low cost store (you only need one per table) and fill with a vase of flowers or find some miniature boots to hold some snacks like peanuts or pretzels.

You might also want to try incorporating a real cowboy hat on your reception tables! Find some that you can purchase in bulk and use those as the centerpieces. For a less expensive option you could find toy hats or miniatures to use for candy or cookies for guests to take home.

As another fun option you could leave it facing down and then use it to display photos of you and your groom. Use pictures from when you were little or simply snapshots you have taken.

To give your guests a real surprise you could even get a hat for each one of them. This way they can have something to put on when they hit the dance floor.

Your other options are pretty diversified. What about a gingham bandana or small burlap pouches filled with treats? For your centerpieces add old canning jars (you can buy these at second hand stores). Add a ribbon in a color matching the wedding party and whatever flowers you wish.

Still not certain? How about miniature cow bells with a piece of rope attached for hanging on a holiday tree? Or, contact a specialty company and have them create custom bottles of hot or barbecue sauce with your own private wedding label. Other good western symbols include the flag of Texas, hay bales, horse shoes, and garters.

You don’t have to spend very much to create a western themed wedding reception. Try visiting resale shops for a few of the supplies, like mason jars or even artificial flowers can be used! Have fun and enjoy your day.
