In my house, there is always two extremes in how it feels. Some days, it does feel sticky which is mostly during really humid days outside in the summer. Winter is totally in the different direction of summer. I always have problems with dry skin during that time as it is dry in the room. I have always known about dehumidifiers and their purpose. The main reason was to get rid of air moisture, and I’ve also found use of it in rooms with laundry where I hang dry the clothes. I find it removes the humidity and dries everything faster. Anyways, I’ve been shown the warm mist humidifiers aisle of my local retail store as a solution to my problem with dry air in my rooms.

What I’ve been told this does is make a steam mist that goes into your air to add moisture. It almost produces steam that you will similarly find in a sauna or steam room, but obviously in a smaller amount. This is the main reason that some store workers will also call these humidifiers as a steam vaporizer. These two terms really can be interchanged as the person you are describing it will likely know either way what you are looking for. I then had my solution and needed to test it out to see if it solves the problem.

Before I actually purchased a unit, I was told that the best room humidifier will depend on the size of my room and what types of features I am looking for. There is one gallon and even two gallon humidifiers on the market. One gallon was the ideal size for my room as it isn’t very large in size. The auto shut off capability was another feature I had definately wanted in my warm mist unit. This just makes it easier for me to set my ideal humidity levels and the unit will do everything itself to keep it at that level.

I tested the ideal levels the manual had recommended, and then tried out some of my own to see the differences. After about a week of playing with it, I found that it worked in keeping the room in much better shape. The room was not dry anymore thanks to the humidifier.
